Like his childhood friend Madame Brigitte Bardot who supports animals through her famous Brigitte Bardot Foundation, Mr. Alain Delon also paid great attention to animals and mainly to the dogs that he adored.
Alain Delon shared his life and had a very special relationship with his dogs, considering them as members of his family. Over time, Alain Delon had acquired and adopted more than fifty dogs, most of which were abandoned dogs. All of Alain Delon's dogs lived with him on his large property located in Douchy in the Loiret and each of his deceased dogs were buried near the small chapel on this same property. Moreover, Alain Delon wanted to be buried among them and had requested special authorization from the authorities to do so.
Alain Delon has regularly expressed his love for his dogs in his various interviews, emphasizing how much his dogs bring him joy and comfort.

Now known worldwide, the Belgian Malinois shepherd called Loubo was adopted by Alain Delon in 2014 and was his faithful companion until the end of his life. In 2024, 34 dogs lived with Alain Delon including Gala, a German shepherd, Léon, also a Belgian shepherd Malinois, Paco, a Labrador retriever and Molly, often mentioned in the media.
Mr. Delon Alain will be buried on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in his property in Douchy close to his dogs as he wished.
